Junior Doctors: Your Life In Their Hands (jUNIOR DOCS)
jUNIOR DOCS follows eight junior doctors on their first days in one of the most responsible and emotional professions in the world. Viewers experience the unembellished reality of everyday hospital life and are given an exclusive insight into the lives of young people who, from one day to the next, must suddenly play their part in life-and-death decisions.
As part of a documentary series on ZDFneo, jUNIOR DOCS follows eight junior doctors at three hospitals in Hamburg as they take the first steps in their profession. They have passed their third state exam at university and are now starting the first responsible jobs of their lives. We see the problems and experiences they encounter in emergency rooms, operating theatres, delivery rooms and ambulances – and in their private lives after their work is done.
Sensitively produced, jUNIOR DOCS provides a realistic yet entertaining picture of the everyday lives of young doctors: intimate where possible and discreet where necessary.
